The post you 've all been asking for!

Sorry to keep you all waiting so long for this, I had a few issues with posting pics on the site, as well as the batteries dying in my scale, to just flat out not having the time to get this done, BUT alas I finally have it!

Here are the pics side by side of when I started, and the pictures that I took last night. As I posted, I am not completely happy with where I am at, but at least its all been in a positive direction. My biggest issue always has been eating right for extended periods of time, and I feel I have that under control now, which of course is a win!

Anyways on to the pictures and stats!

Weight: 205.8 lbs, Waist Circumference: 42" at the belly button

Pounds lost:19.2 lbs

Inches lost: 5"

Day 100 on left, Day 1 on right

Day 100 on left, Day 1 on right
Day 100 on left, Day 1 on right

And I took 1 extra photo, a bonus if you will for making you all wait this damned long! This one really puts it in to comparison for me, these shorts used to be "suck in my gut so I can button them tight" And as you can see I have plenty of wiggle room now!

( Oh yeah, I almost forgot, a few have asked "What's with the beard?" Well i don't like beards so as a motivator, I am not shaving it until I am below 200lbs! Once I am beardless I will have hit the 25 lbs lost since I have started this Whole360 project, and 33lbs lost since I started Whole30's!)

DAY 100 - Tuesday October 29th

Info: Sorry I got behind again, been super busy since I got back from New Mexico. I DID get pictures and weights so I can post the update post here shortly! Working on putting the before and after pictures side by side for a comparison for you all, so you can see what they look like. I'll be honest I am not all that happy with my progress, but with that being said I have my eating down pat now, and I just need to implement exercise to really jump start my fat loss. I am not disappointed either, as the food portion of getting healthy has always been my main challenge, and I am winning that battle right now! Anyways I am going to do a separate update post as soon as I get the pics side by side, so keep an eye out for that, and also the Paleo Slaw post will be up later this afternoon as well!

Time for a change, I have some steak ready to go!

Oh yeah tomorrow is day 100, I will have to do something cool, I dunno like maybe updates and pics????

DAY 98 - Sunday October 27th

Info: Drive home day!!!! BLEH!!! The trip to New Mexico was so worth it, but man I hated being in a car after the ride home LOL. It was an easy drive (or ride in my case) but it's a straight shot through the desert so not a very interesting drive. Food went well, and we all made it back in one piece so I guess mission accomplished!

DAY 97 - Saturday October 26th

Info: Today is the day, the New Mexico State IDPA Championships. I woke up energized and ready to go, the match was outstanding, and the guys at the Del Norte Gun Club in Rio Rancho New Mexico had it together! I shot to my plan, and was having a pretty good match until the last stage of the day. Dropped quite a few points, and was pretty sure ended my chances of winning, but wasn't sure. This was by far the biggest field I have shot against, so it was very exciting. There was a guy from my class in my squad, and lo and behold he beat me by a few seconds to win the class, but I came in a close 2nd. I don't really practice long range shooting as much as I should (or ever) and that's what came back to bite me. I'll have a separate post on the whole match, but just wanted to summarize in here. As a group our team did awesome, we brought home 3 trophies (a 1st, and two second place finishes) so overall was a very successful match!

Not 1st, but still a nice trophy!

1st day of the journey to the New Mexico State IDPA Championships spent on the road. Not a bad drive, but 7 hours in a car is 7 hours in a car! Food prep worked great, and actually probably saved us some time, we didn't have to stop to eat or go through a drive thru or anything. Sorry for the lack of pictures other than a few here and there, was trying to save what little memory I had on my phone for videos of shooting!

DAY 94 - Wednesday October 24th

Info:
Today was a good day, I was a little low on energy because I ran out of veggies at work, and didn't have time to go get more until lunch. I could definitely feel an energy difference throughout the day because I missed them for breakfast. It may sound silly to some who are not on a Paleo or Whole30 type diet, but what you eat REALLY matters. Skip a meal and my energy goes in the toilet, and we all know toilets are NOT fun to be in LOL. Also got a bunch more bulk cooking done for the trip this weekend, can you say more Saw-sages????

Sawsages, and Sawsages - All sugar, gluten, added crap free!!

DAY 93 - Tuesday October 22nd

Info:
This weekend is the final big IDPA pistol competition I am doing this year, it is in New Mexico, and about 7 hours from Denver. That being said food is always a concern on road trips, but this time another friend of mine (Who is doing his 1st sets of Whole30 as we speak) asked if I would cook food for us so we don't have to try to do the travel food stuff. So tonight I started putting together some food for us to take along. I was thinking of ways to combine fats/veggies and figured out there really is not a tastier and easier way than making coleslaw!!! So I made a giant dish of it! we will also be having plenty of meats (SF Sausages, Chicken, Steak, and Cod) Anyways enough babble, I was just excited because this coleslaw tastes VERY similar to KFC's sugar bomb coleslaw, except it doesn't have all the sugar and garbage in it! I think the recipe is soon to follow!

Paleo Slaw

Exercise log: I did a few sets of push ups to attempt to make the transition to the gym a little easier. I have decided sore back or not I need to get in to the gym....and the back seems to loosen up a bit when I work out or move around, so I'm saying "Forgeddabouditt" and going for it. It's not going to change much one way or another.

DAY 92 - Monday October 21st

Info:
Was talking with a friend on Facebook and he was celebrating his 2 year Paleo way of life, and remembering what it was like before that, he has lost 45-50 lbs and changed his life quite a bit since the caveman has come knocking at his door. That's awesome! He is also the one that turned me on to the Paleo diet, and such wonders as Robb Wolf, Matt LaLonde, Mark Sisson, and many others. If you don't know who these people are, I suggest you hop on Google and check them out. Not only do they have hours of valuable listening and reading material available, some of them have really cool hair *coughMattLaLondecough* Yep I just went there.........Oh yeah and thanks Jared Reece for getting me started on this "thing" as I used to call it. It has definitely changed my life as well!

Jared, after getting his "Paleo" on

This back thing has got to go, as long as I'm straight up and down it's not horrible, the problem is I'm rarely just sitting there straight up and down. Every twist, bend, lean or turn feels like someone is jamming a knife in my back. Ahh I LOVE getting old! HAHAHA

DAY 84 - Sunday October 13th

Info:
Well getting ready for the gym tomorrow, all is going well, and I pulled/strained the same muscle in my back that has been giving me issues. I've narrowed it down to a flexibility problem as well, it hurts when I try to straighten my leg or bend over. Stretching or maybe even Yoga is on the books for me ASAP. Oh and the gym thing is still a go, I'll just work around it!

DAY 83 - Saturday October 12th

Info: Shot a local IDPA match today, and made sure I had food to take with me, worked out well and all went according to plan. Went to Chili's for dinner and their sirloin minus the butter and mashed potatoes is pretty good, I got a huge steak and a ton of broccoli! If you decided to go, just sub all broccoli and they really hooked it up on the veggies. And Chili's was all redone, so it was nice in there!

DAY 80 - Wednesday October 9th

Info: Day 80...wow this really is going better than I had expected, I think now that I am used to eating a certain way the cravings for bad stuff just don't come around anymore. I was eating some different foods at the buffet the other night and was really noticing flavor profiles and that the food tasted great without adding a bunch of stuff to it (e.g. I used to douse steak with A-1 steak sauce) don't get me wrong I still LOVE and I stress LOVE hot sauce, but the other things I used to put on my food I don't feel I really need, or more importantly even want anymore!
