On another note, I realized I had never read Mark Sisson' Primal Blueprint book, so I requested it at the library and picked it up the other day. I must say so far it is a great read, so if you are curious about Paleo and the Primal lifestyle, check it out! Day 275 - Tuesday April 22nd

Info: Deviled eggs. I have been craving them for weeks now. 2 failed attempts to boil some eggs that were halfway peelable later, I finally got some deviled eggs! Does anyone else struggle with the peeling of the eggs? I can boil them to a perfect consistency, but for some reason I cannot get them to peel worth a crap. I have used week old eggs, added apple cider vinegar to the water, baking soda, you name it. Still same result, when I peel them half the egg tears away with the shell, unless I take 10 minutes to pick every little piece off. Anyone have any tips/tricks on how to peel an egg efficiently and keep it in tact? Please I beg of you leave a comment and let me know!

Mmmm the Devil came to lunch today!

Man forgot what a good workout using that thing can be! I popped a video in here so you guys can see what I'm talking about, but basically you can mimic a skating stride on it. Lots of direction change, and explosive movement. I may just hang on to it! (Mine is a different model, designed more specifically for goalies and hockey, but you get the general idea!)

Day 272 - Saturday April 19th

Info:  We got some free tickets to Rodeo All Stars tonight, and needless to say I was less than enthused. I mean how exciting can watching people try to stay on horses, or rope cows be right?

Well I stand corrected.

Not only was the atmosphere totally awesome, it was probably the most wholesome crowd I've ever seen at ANY event I have ever attended. There really is no way to describe how exciting the events actually were either, I was literally on the edge of my seat every time something was happening, it was literally one of the coolest events I have been to. We had a suite (basically got to sit right up against the fence) so it made it all the better. The main rodeo clown brought a horseshoe over and gave it to my daughter after one of the events, which was cool, and even better it had just come off a horse.....she was STOKED! And I will say the suite service there was awesome too! Unlimited wine and beer (I was good and didn't drink, but boy if I was drinking I would have had a crazy good time!) and finger foods. Anyway enough about that, I will say this, rodeo you made yourself a new fan today (live events at least) thanks for the good time!

Theren (4) of course picks up everything and is sure she found "a geocache" every time LOL. Got some low impact exercise in that way walking around finding treasures. Day 266 - Sunday April 13th

Info: Today was a USPSA match in Boulder. Crappy weather but they have an indoor range, so it was a small 3 stage match. Ended up 4th with a new gun I have never shot before in a competition. Not great, but not as bad as I thought I would do with a completely different set up! I kept forgetting to click the safety off on the draw, so it cost me a bunch of time, and since this is a limited gun you can put your magazines anywhere on your belt...I kept reaching to the wrong spot for reloads, which also cost me a crap load of time! That's why I tested it in this small match though! I think my XDM is mad at me now cause I shot another gun!

Today was also bulk cooking day and resupply day. Got chicken, pork, olive oil mayo and a Holland pie made for the coming week.

Tried on 36's and they were too big! 34's fit my waist, but I've got some big ol honkin legs from playing hockey for so long, so they are a bit tight in the leg, but they will work. Info: Today was wrought with bulk cooking, mixing, chopping and preparations.....for the week to come! I didn't get everything done I wanted but that's OK got a majority stashed so I have little prep work to do for meals during the week. I also found a great deal on an Estim Machine (Think TENS machine but more advanced, can help with muscle repair, soreness, etc) which should be here this week to help out with my back. From my treatments with the Chiro, the Estim seemed to have the best effect, so I figured a $150 investment was well worth it, so I don't have to keep going back to the Chiro constantly.

I didn't eat the hot dogs though! I watched as people ate hot dogs, buns, and sugary ketchup and just smiled that I am not like that anymore. Don't get me wrong I love processed and mechanically separated beef parts as much as the next guy, I just enjoy my health and weight loss progress a whole lot more!

With my back being silly still I have been just taking it easy, but the natives are restless so I am going to force myself to do something daily. Info: So back when I was growing up in Michigan we had this burger chain called Hot N Now. The cool thing about Hot N Now was on tuesdays you could get 3 burgers for $.99!!! But they had a secret weapon too, one of the most delicious burgers ever at a fast food place. It was called the double olive burger, it was coated with green olives, mayo and cheese. Delicious, addicting, and horrible for you. I decided I had to have one of those double olive burgers again, so I Paleo'd it. Tasted really close to the real thing, except for probably 100 times better for me!

Here she is, the artery choker...Double Olive burger! But ohhhhh so tasty!
