RECIPE:
Warning: This healthy food is addictive! |
Ingredients:
- Brussel's sprouts
- Coconut oil
- Sea salt
Equipment needed:
- Knife
- Stove/heat source
- Cutting Board
- Sauteed pan and lid
- Spoon or tongs
STEP 1: Wash your sprouts, trim them if needed, and cut them in half lengthwise.
STEP 2: Melt 1-2 TBS of Coconut oil in your sauteed pan on the stove top.
STEP 3: Before the oil gets too hot, place sprouts in your pan and toss them to make sure they are coated with the coconut oil.
Starting to look tasty! |
STEP 4: Sprinkle with sea salt to taste and then turn the heat to high, place lid on pan and let the magic start to happen! (What I like to do after I toss the sprouts to coat them is flip them all face down with my tongs and let them char on the flat side first, then when I toss them again they tend to end up on the round side. That way both sides get a good char on them.)
I like mine well charred, but you can stop at any time. |
STEP 5: Saute on high heat until you see the sprouts starting to char, and smoke a little. Toss well and repeat until your sprouts are charred to your liking. (Usually this takes about 5 minutes or so)
All done, just waiting for the perfect protein! |
STEP 6: Serve and enjoy!
